Zenith wins FICCI Corporate Excellence award from Prime Minister

CHENNAI , India – February 15, 2008: Federation of India Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) today announced Zenith Computers, the largest Indian laptop manufacturer is the winner of the FICCI Corporate Excellence Awards – Hardware category.

The Corporate Excellence Award is given to a company who has had an impact on the industry and contributed to the growth of the Indian and global economy.

Zenith Computers, was felicitated by Sri Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister, Government of India, at the awards ceremony on February 15th evening in New Delhi at the inauguration of the 80th Annual General Meeting.

Zenith is one of India’s most powerful brands in the IT industry incorporated in 1980 by Mr. Raj Kumar Saraf. Zenith Computers, headquartered in Mumbai, India, is over 25 years old with a turnover of approx. Rs.3.5 billion. Rapid expansion of the company’s product lines and increase in customers has contributed to the factory size being doubled.
