Gilliland Leads Ford Drivers in Bristol Cup Happy Hour

“It’s definitely gonna be a little bit different. It’s gonna be a little hard on tires at the beginning. When we got here we had a green track and saw a lot of tire wear, so it’s just something we’re gonna have to keep an eye on, but I’m real happy with our freecreditreport.com Ford Fusion. It’s running really, really good and it’s very consistent throughout a long run. It’s got speed at the beginning of a run and it drives good, so, right now, I can’t find anything wrong with our car. It runs really, really good. Now we’re just gonna check and double-check everything and we feel really good about the position we’ve put ourselves in for Sunday’s race.”

Anytime you come to Bristol it’s patience, especially when you have a car as good as we feel like we have. It’s just gonna take some time. I’ve got a great crew chief in Cully Barraclough and he’s got his stuff together on pit strategy and things like that, so I’m sure you’ll see a little bit of that. Like I said, the biggest thing is patience and keeping the fenders on it so you can slowly but surely move your way to the front.”
