KODAK Thermal CTP Newspaper Solutions
Phoenix Newspapers, Inc.; Metroland Printing Publishing & Distributing Ltd.; Brehm Communications Inc.; and McNaughton Newspapers have purchased KODAK thermal computer to plate (CTP) newspaper solutions to make the transition to a digital production environment. KODAK thermal CTP newspaper solutions deliver increases in print productivity, reliability, efficiency and quality, helping customers meet tight deadlines, improve profitability and explore new market opportunities.
Phoenix Newspapers Inc., Gannett Co.’s largest single newspaper operation, will begin a complete conversion to CTP early this year at both its Deer Valley and Mesa facilities that print The Arizona Republic and The New York Times. Phoenix Newspapers Inc. has ordered five KODAK TRENDSETTER NEWS thermal CTP devices consisting of four TRENDSETTER NEWS 200 CTP devices and one TRENDSETTER NEWS 100 CTP device, along with KODAK THERMALNEWS plates and four NELA PL-T plateloaders.
Metroland Printing, Publishing & Distributing Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, purchased a KODAK TRENDSETTER NEWS 150 device, KODAK Thermal Digital Plates and a NELA PL-T plateloader. Metroland publishes 100 community newspapers such as The Mississauga News.
