Symantec Expands Its Family of PC Health Solutions With Norton SystemWorks 2006 Basic Edition
Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) today announced Norton SystemWorks 2006 Basic Edition, the newest product in the award-winning Norton SystemWorks family of PC health solutions. Norton SystemWorks 2006 Basic Edition provides consumers with essential tools to maintain and optimize their computer, solve common problems, and help boost system performance.
For more than twenty years, Symantec has offered consumers essential tools to help keep their computers up and running at peak performance. With the introduction of Norton SystemWorks in 1998, computer users benefited from the industry’s first integrated suite of PC health solutions. Now, consumers can choose from three products based on which solution best suits their needs — Norton SystemWorks 2006, Norton SystemWorks 2006 Premier, and Norton SystemWorks 2006 Basic Edition.
“Maintaining a PC’s health by optimizing its performance and preventing system problems is just as important as securing it from Internet threats,” said Rowan Trollope, vice president, consumer products and solutions, Symantec Corp. “Norton SystemWorks 2006 Basic Edition is a robust solution that gives consumers who are looking for a product to complement their security software the ability to keep their computers running at optimal performance levels.”
