Seagate Mirra Personal Server Named 2005 Technology Product of the Year by Small Business Technology Magazine

Seagate Technology (NYSE: STX), the world’s leading supplier of consumer electronics hard drives, announced today that the Seagate Mirra Personal Server was named 2005 Technology Product of the Year by Small Business Technology Magazine (SBTM) and the Seagate 5GB Pocket Drive was named as a Finalist. This prominent award is in its inaugural year, saluting the innovative technology solutions that are boosting the productivity and profitability of small businesses.

“We are honored to receive this award that acknowledges the value that the Mirra Personal Server brings to the small business environment,” said Jim Druckrey senior vice president and general manager of Branded Solutions for Seagate Technology. “We’ve engineered the Mirra products to help small businesses improve the way they protect, access, share and manage their business files and the Seagate Pocket Drive acts as a perfect tool to carry all of your important business documents with you.”

The Mirra Personal Server eliminates the complexity of protecting and providing company-wide access to valuable digital content from multiple computers by integrating PC software, Web Services, and an intelligent “always-on” network appliance into the only content protection and sharing solution that’s affordable and easy to use. Mirra provides continuous automatic backup of data from multiple PCs, free over-the-Internet remote access, easy secure file sharing, and file synchronization between networked computers.
