Perlico Welcomes EU Commissioner’s Call to Reduce Broadband Prices in Ireland

Perlico, the leading alternative provider of telecoms, broadband and related services to Irish consumers, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Vodafone Ireland, today welcomed the comments made by EU Telecoms Commissioner Viviane Reding with regard to the price of broadband in the Irish market.

In a recent interview, Ms Reding praised the recent surge in broadband take-up in Ireland, 17 per cent of Irish households now have high-speed broadband. However, she also insisted that the retail price of broadband in the Irish market needs to be more competitively priced and lowered to facilitate the continued improvement in broadband penetration in Ireland.
