Endeavor, The Telecom Truck Roll Company of Choice for carriers, service providers, VARs, and equipment manufacturers, today announced its support of The Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) and its annual fundraising event The Hunger Walk/Run. The donations raised by staff members will provide over 4,000 meals to the low-income citizens through the ACFB’s 800 non-profit partner network spread across 38 counties in Northern Georgia.

Each year the ACFB and its partners sponsors a 5K walk and 10K run, with all proceeds dedicated to providing meals to families in need. During the 24th annual event this year, which took place on March 2nd, 2008, an estimated 12,000 people participated and raised over $200,000 for the cause.

“The Atlanta Community Food Bank is an organization whose cause really strikes a chord with the staff members here,” according to Jennifer Baron, Manager of Executive Initiatives for Endeavor Telecom and organizer of the Hunger Walk team. “Serving the community fills us with as much pride as serving our customers. We look forward to opportunities in the future to support the ACFB and other local charity organizations, even if it does mean we’ll break a sweat.”

This is not the first time Endeavor has shown support for the ACFB. This past December, Endeavor’s Atlanta-based staff members held a food drive that successfully collected over 2,700 pounds of food products for the ACFB.
