‘No Nonsense’ Bloxx Web Filtering Attracts Slovenia Distributor
Bloxx Ltd., the Internet filtering company with offices in the UK and Holland, has just announced the signing of a new distributor, JTV, based in Ljubjlana, Slovenia. Distributing Bloxx across Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro and Albania, JTV already enjoy commercial contacts with IT technology companies and telecom partners across Europe.
Wouter Geertsema, Commercial Director of Bloxx Europe, believes that ‘JTV offer Bloxx the chance to really expand the client network across Europe into a market that has for too long been dominated by basic and expensive solutions. Organisations within Central and Southern Europe now have the ability to install Bloxx’s highly efficient web filtering and web threat management appliances without expensive ‘cost per user’ charges’.
Bloxx are enjoying huge success; the opening of an office last year in The Hague to support mainland Europe marked the start of significant expansion. The signing of JTV in Slovenia supports this push further. Established mainland European clients already include organisations such as The Netherlands’ Government, International Schools in Italy and Austria and corporate clients like Rentokil Initial in Belgium and JCB in Germany (as well as USA, UK and India).
Described as a ‘No Nonsense’ solution, Bloxx appliances offer next generation web filtering/ web threat management. The range of appliances can protect anything from 50 – 50,000 PCs through an advanced eight layer filter. Bloxx is also very cost effective as there are no ‘cost per user’ charges. Bloxx doesn’t just rely on a URL database for its web filtering – it complements the traditional means of blocking sites with their APS Technology (Advanced Page Scanning) and URL keyword scanning.
Operating rather like a movies’ certificate rating (e.g. U, 15, 18), APS reviews the page content and ‘scores’ it – if the score is within the user’s viewing permission, the web site reaches the desktop; if not, it doesn’t. This means that even inappropriate sites never previously identified can be blocked – ideal to protect all users but especially younger users. For added user and network protection, Bloxx also filters through extra layers incorporating Instant Messaging, Peer to Peer and File Download management, Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware filtering – all as standard.
