IBM to Release ”IBM and the Future of Sports” Podcast

IBM announced today that the ninth podcast in the series, “IBM and the Future of . . .” will begin today on its investor Web site. The podcast is called “IBM and the Future of Sports.” “IBM and the Future of Sports” discusses how technology is bringing big changes to the way fans experiences sports – at home, at sporting events, playing video games and on the Web.
This is giving rise to a new generation of sports fans. These fans expect to be much more intimately involved in the sporting experience – as a producer of sports content, as well as a consumer. Coaches, players, owners and organizers, meanwhile, have opportunities to innovate, too.The podcast is hosted by Christopher Barger and features a discussion between Rick Singer, director of IBM worldwide sports marketing and Edward Hanapole, who heads IBM’s digital media consulting practice.
