Hosted Solution Quickly and Exponentially Expands Operator’s Content Offerings for Customers in Six States
CTIA Wireless 2008
Interop Technologies, a leading provider of advanced wireless technology solutions for the global wireless, packaged goods, and content industries, today announced that Centennial Wireless, a regional wireless telecommunications provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of Centennial Communications Corp. (NASDAQ: CYCL), is deploying the Interop hosted CSC Gateway. Centennial Wireless operates a GSM network in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.
The complete Interop Technologies CSC Gateway solution provides immediate connectivity to numerous content aggregators, enabling Centennial Wireless to expand its content portfolio quickly and exponentially with a single relationship. The gateway also accommodates strong growth in the use of short codes and enables the operator’s customers to choose from a huge selection of the latest wallpapers, ringtones, and additional content. The CSC Gateway offers unified billing for Short Message Service and Multimedia Message Service messages, on-deck and off-deck content, local premium and voting campaigns, and other value-added services. Content purchases conveniently appear on customers’ regular monthly bills.
“The Interop CSC Gateway will help us deliver a much broader offering of revenue-generating content,” said Jeremy Bracey, Marketing Director, Centennial Wireless. “In addition, this hosted solution provides fast time to market at minimal capital investment.”
“We are pleased to support the growth in content demand that Centennial Wireless is experiencing,” said Brian Moore, Vice President of Sales, Interop Technologies. “Once again, a Centennial Communications business has selected one of our wireless solutions to help build its business. Last year, Centennial Wireless of Puerto Rico deployed the Interop Technologies Ringback Tone solution for its network.”
The complete line of Interop Technologies solutions for messaging, device management, and entertainment and personalization will be on display in booth number 5917, Hall N3/N2, at the CTIA Wireless 2008 tradeshow in Las Vegas, April 1-3.
