Black Box Corporation Announces Acquisition of UCI Communications LLC

UCI Communications LLC (UCI) Represents Approximately $14 Million in Annual Historical Revenues

Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) today announced the acquisition of UCI Communications LLC (UCI), a privately-held company based out of Mobile, AL. UCI has an active customer base which includes commercial, education and various government agency accounts. Annual historical revenues of UCI are approximately $14 million.

Shaler Houser, former UCI owner, commented, “We look forward to joining the BBOX family and becoming an integral part of the Voice Services South Team. BBOX’s history of superior customer service, product innovation and world class engineering skills will ensure UCI’s customers remain on the cutting edge of communications technologies.” Mr. Houser will report to Gary Williams, Black Box General Manager.

Commenting on the acquisition, Mr. Williams stated, “UCI has a long and well-established history of providing excellent voice and data services to its customers. This acquisition will enable us to continue expanding our presence in the Southeast and offer additional hotline products and voice and data services to UCI’s customers.”

This transaction is being accounted for as a purchase. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
