Martin Schoeppler is Appointed CEO and President of FUJIFILM Dimatix

FUJIFILM Corporation today announced that the Board of FUJIFILM Dimatix voted to appoint Martin Schoeppler CEO and President, replacing John C. Batterton who is retiring. The top-management change at the wholly owned Fujifilm subsidiary becomes effective May 15, 2008. Batterton will remain in his post at FUJIFILM Dimatix over the next month to assist with the leadership transition.

Nobuaki Inoue, Chairman, Corporate Vice President of FUJIFILM Corporation remarked, “It is with great regret but equally great appreciation that the Board of FUJIFILM Dimatix accepted John C. Batterton’s decision to leave after eight years as Dimatix’s CEO and President. FUJIFILM Dimatix is a much stronger company today than it was when John took the position of CEO, and he has given us a new and strong foundation on which to build to become a world-leading provider of inkjet printheads for commercial and industrial printing. We wish John the very best in his future endeavors.”

Commenting on Schoeppler’s appointment the Fujifilm Chairman said, “Martin Schoeppler has been with the company for four years. He is a seasoned international executive with extensive electronics market experience and more than 20 years of senior management responsibilities in high technology marketing, sales and business development. FUJIFILM Corporation and the Board of FUJIFILM Dimatix have great confidence in his ability to maintain our remarkable momentum, and to be a fair and inclusive advocate for all areas at Dimatix. We are grateful to Martin Schoeppler for taking on this new responsibility.”

Schoeppler joined FUJIFILM Dimatix in 2004 as Vice President of Strategic Business Development. In January 2007, Schoeppler was named the company’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales with responsibility for all FUJIFILM Dimatix products.

Prior to his tenure at FUJIFILM Dimatix, Schoeppler held senior management positions in United States and Europe at Hewlett-Packard Co., Lumileds Lighting, and Agilent Technologies, Inc., Schoeppler earned a BSEE degree in Electronics and Telecommunications with a minor in Business from the University of Applied Science in Esslingen, Germany, and studied Advanced Industrial Marketing at INSEAD in France.
