WHAT: DIRECTV is now delivering local news, weather, sports and prime-time broadcast network programming via satellite in digital-quality picture and sound for viewers in the Bangor, Maine market.
Local channels and broadcast networks available in the Bangor designated market area via DIRECTV include: WVII/ABC, WFVX/FOX/MNT, WLBZ/NBC and WMEB/PBS.
DIRECTV now offers standard definition local channels in 150 markets, representing approximately 94 percent of U.S. TV households.

HOW:
To receive local and broadcast network programming in Bangor DIRECTV customers must have MPEG-4 equipment, a multi-satellite receiver and dish and upgrade to the CHOICE XTRA® programming package at $44.99 per month. New DIRECTV customers can subscribe to the new CHOICETM programming package for $39.99, which includes more than 140 movie, sports, family, music and local broadcast network channels.
