Microsoft to Show New Web Design Software at CRE8 Conference in Orlando on May 1

Microsoft will show its latest tools and platforms for creating and delivering rich interactive content for the Web at the annual CRE8 conference in Orlando in a special keynote session on May 1, where hundreds of Web and interactive designers will be gathered. Microsoft will be showing its Silverlight platform, which delivers interactive content across various computer platforms, including Mac, PC, and mobile devices, making it a compelling technology for CRE8 Conference attendees. Brian Goldfarb, a group product manager from Microsoft will also be showcasing Expression Studio software tools, which allow Web design professionals to create next generation Web sites, interactive content, and video for delivery to different devices, platforms, and browsers using Silverlight and .NET.

Following the keynote, Microsoft is delivering a hands-on training session for CRE8 conference attendees. The sessions will provide a guided tour of the Expression Studio software tools for creating Web sites, interactive content, and streaming video delivered using Microsoft Silverlight.

Microsoft’s keynote is on the second day of the CRE8 conference, and follows a presentation by Michael Eisner, the former CEO of Walt Disney Companies and owner of on-line studio Vuguru. During Mr. Eisner’s career in the media business, change accelerated at a dizzying rate. He has successfully navigated a changing media world. He kept his company nimble and agile, always alert to new opportunities and yet cognizant of the value of existing lines of business. Michael Eisner continues to be an entertainment innovator. His investment company Tornante launched Vuguru, a studio producing original programming for the Internet, portable media devices and mobile devices, including the critically acclaimed original program The All-For-Nots.

CRE8 is more than a design conference or marketing conference, it brings together creative, marketing, and communications professionals who are involved in creating web sites, interactive content, along with print and PDF publications. The conference is presented by Aquent Graphics Institute and sponsored by key creative technology software vendors including Microsoft and Quark. Attendees learn Flash techniques and also ways to create and deploy Silverlight content, and they learn Dreamweaver and as well as the new Expression tools for creating Web content.
