NAB2008

INA, one of the world’s largest audiovisual archives, with 450,000 hours of audiovisual archives online, presents the ina-signature technology at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show. This solution allows rights owners to manage the distribution of their assets on UGC (User Generated Content) sites such as Dailymotion.

The technology was already chosen by various rights owners (such as Europacorp and Canal+) and it was implemented since early 2008 on Dailymotion, the world’s largest independent video entertainment website. It has also been adopted by encoding and authoring service providers (such as MPO eMedia and TDF) who now propose efficient fingerprinting services to their customers.

INA´s innovative technology is based on a signature, or digital video fingerprint, a genetic code representing a sequence of images. Content that has been protected by a producer or a broadcaster using this technology will be automatically detected on UGC sites; it will then be either rejected or managed according to agreements before it is placed online.

The robustness and performance of the technology is demonstrated at NAB on booth # SU 15813, near the WiFi Restaurant & Lounge.

A press conference will be held on the ina-signature booth on Tuesday, April 15 at 2 p.m.
