Red Hat and IBM launch Linux ISV Certification Support Programme in Europe
Munich, Germany—December 09, 2004—Red Hat, Inc. (Nasdaq:RHAT), the world’s leading provider of open source solutions to the enterprise today announced together with IBM, the launch of a joint Linux ISV Certification Support Programme. The programme—fulfilled by the IBM Innovation Centres for Business Partners in Hursley (UK), Moscow (Russia), Paris (France) and Stuttgart (Germany)—provides support for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) who wish to certify applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux running on IBM hardware and IBM middleware.
As part of the agreement, Red Hat will provide technology and support services, while the business partner will get access to the IBM Innovation Centres for Business Partners, which provides a range of services including support during the porting and enablement of the solution either on site or remote. The combined resources will enable ISVs to undergo a thorough self-certification process, assuring both themselves and their customers that applications will perform as expected. Interested ISVs can get more information about the Linux ISV Certification Support Programme at http://www.europe.redhat.com/partners/innovation and fill out the registration form. ISVs must also become members of the IBM PartnerWorld. Programme (no cost to join) and must submit an Enablement Request to get access to the IBM Innovation Centres for Business Partners.
