Cybercom (STO:CYBE) received an order to assist a leading network equipment provider in designing a next-generation radio base station. The order is worth more than SEK 20 million over a 15-month period.

“We’re thrilled to receive this acknowledgment from one of our key customer,” says Magnus Andersson, MD of Cybercom in Gothenburg. “This proves that we took the right decision, 10 years ago, when we invested in running sophisticated embedded system projects in our facilities. Throughout the years, a range of domestic and international customers have gained from our ability to develop systems with analogous and digital hardware as well as embedded and application software.” Going forward, mobile broadband will be twice as large as fixed broadband, and extensive expansion is in the pipeline. To meet this challenge and operators’ expectations for lower operating and capital costs, new, efficient, compact radio base stations must be developed. “Cybercom has been running several of these projects in its facilities,” says Dan Dehlén, account manager at Cybercom. “This new contract in a future area demonstrates that we have the capabilities to help customers meet their market windows via rapid ramp-up of skilled engineers.”
