Marimon, Inc. (www.marimoninc.com), a Houston, TX based document solutions company recently achieved Office Printing Solutions (OPS) partner status, Hewlett-Packard’s highest level of partnership. Marimon will now deliver the full suite of HP printers, multifunction systems and workflow solutions.

“We are excited about the unique benefits this new partnership will bring to our clients,” say Anthony Marimon, President.

Achieving OPS certification requires service and sales professionals to complete a rigorous track of courses on HP’s portfolio of hardware and software solutions. In all, the company had to complete over 150 hours of training.

“We set the bar high so only the very best partners achieve the Office Printing Solutions partner status,” adds Kathy Souther, Partner Business Manager for HP. Currently, there are less than 150 OPS partners in the US and Marimon is the only certified Edgeline dealer in Houston.

As an OPS partner the company now has access to HP’s portfolio of print and imaging solutions including multifunction printers, fax servers and document management solutions.

HP multifunction printers combine printing, copying, faxing and scanning services in one cost effective device. Many companies that use the systems depend on the scanning features to scan documents to email addresses or to network folder locations.

Marimon will also deliver and service HP’s new Edgeline multifunction systems. These systems leverage new technology to produce color prints and copies at over 50 pages per minute at a low cost per impression. With color usage growing at 19% per year according to IDC, Edgeline systems help companies to control their color printing and copying costs.

In addition to hardware, HP’s suite of software solutions helps companies integrate paper into their digital workflows. For example, fax servers route inbound faxes to email addresses. Other solutions include electronic forms to replace pre-printed forms and document management systems to create electronic filing systems. These solutions help companies manage growing volumes of paper and sometimes reduce their paper usage, helping organizations reduce their carbon footprints.

One of the company’s most popular services is its Managed Print Services program. Monitoring technology provides real-time reporting on the status of clients’ printer networks, allowing Marimon to provide pro-active service response and supply restocking. The information from the monitoring systems is also used to optimize printer fleets and reduce expenses.

Since 1978, Marimon Business Systems has offered its customers a wide range of quality office automation products with integrity, outstanding service, excellent value and unwavering commitment to total customer satisfaction. All Marimon Business Systems products are backed by Platinum Maintenance Agreement, a buyer protection plan which provides the service support and supplies required to ensure a reliable, responsive, efficient and cost-effective solution.
