Real-Time Flight Information Provider Recognized for Leadership
FlightView, provider of the industry’s most accurate and actionable real-time flight information, has been named a finalist in the 5th annual 2008 MITX Technology Awards.
As airline delays continue to make national headlines, FlightView closes the information gap for travelers, airline and airport operations teams and companies that provide up-to-the-minute insight into flight status. FlightView’s accurate, real-time information about where a specific flight is in its itinerary means airport crews are in compliance with workday regulations; limo drivers can pick up other fares when a client is delayed, and customer service representatives at airlines can focus on booking new reservations instead of fielding calls about when a flight will arrive.
“We use technology to help our clients in many different industries service their customers and employees in many different ways,” said Michael Benjamin, CEO of FlightView. “We’re honored that our efforts are being recognized as a real solution that solves real business challenges.”
The Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX) is recognizing innovative technologies developed in the New England area, as well as the individuals and organizations responsible for driving these advancements.
“In its fifth year, the MITX Technology Awards have attracted some of the most distinguished technological innovations that the region has to offer,” said Kiki Mills, executive director of MITX. “It is this tremendous interest that enables our organization to accomplish its mission of uniting the brightest minds in the digital marketing, media and technology community and honoring their outstanding achievement.”
FlightView will be honored along with other finalists during an awards ceremony at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge on Tuesday, June 3, 2008.
