MobileAccess Partners with Enersus to Deliver State-of-the-Art Wireless Infrastructure to Australian Customers
General Press Releases May 19th, 2008
Enersus Deploys MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network at Chatswood Mall, Tullamarine Airport and Parramatta Justice Precinct in Australia
MobileAccess, the global provider of enterprise wireless solutions, today announced it has broadened its international business through a partnership with Australia-based Enersus, a value added reseller (VAR) and system integrator (SI) specializing in cellular, Wi-Fi, WiMAX and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions. By working with Enersus, MobileAccess is meeting the growing demand for its Universal Wireless Network solution from customers worldwide, including Tullamarine Airport, the Parramatta Justice Precinct and the Chatswood Westfield Mall.
“In Australia, we often experience service interference between the new 3G services and traditional GSM networks,” said Ben Patullo, managing director for Enersus. “MobileAccess is the only solution we have found that can seamlessly and simultaneously carry both services over a single infrastructure without interference. Furthermore, with MobileAccess, organizations can add or remove services as requirements evolve without any additional infrastructure investments. We can offer clients the most flexible, scalable and cost-effective wireless network.”
Airports are built with heavy construction materials that can impede the flow of radio frequency (RF) signals and interfere with voice and data coverage. The Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne, Australia, sought a solution that would overcome such impediments and deliver pervasive wireless coverage throughout the 250,000 square-foot facility. Enersus chose the MobileAccess solution for its unique ability to combine the new 3G 850 and GSM900 technologies over a single network and adapt for multiple carriers. The MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network technology easily scales to meet future 4G wireless technology needs without any additional wiring or disruption during upgrades. The result is a nimble wireless system that brings cutting-edge communications to Tullamarine Airport while delivering financial and operational efficiencies.
The Parramatta Justice Precinct includes the new Children’s Court, the Trial Courts and the Attorney General’s Office for New South Wales among other buildings. The Property Council of Australia mandated that mobile coverage be available within the buildings in the Parramatta Justice Precinct. Enersus designed a MobileAccess solution that allowed any mobile operator to provide multiple wireless services over one infrastructure, while also overcoming the additional wireless coverage hurdles resulting from the precinct’s five-star, green-rated construction. The network is now fully integrated and covers the three major buildings.
Westfield Chatswood is a premier shopping and entertainment center in the heart of downtown Sydney, Australia, boasting nine cinemas, 45 dining options and 326 retail stores. Developers recognized the need for a sophisticated wireless system that could provide seamless connectivity for many different constituents, including visitors, employees and first responders while maintaining the scalable performance required in a facility of this size. They turned to Enersus for guidance and Enersus selected the MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network for its ability to deliver multiple wireless services within large, complex structures.
“These deployments reflect the steady momentum that MobileAccess is experiencing in the international market,” said Cathy Zatloukal, president and CEO of MobileAccess. “We see increasing worldwide demand for our universal wireless approach, which delivers pervasive coverage with the most advanced technology available, easily adjusts to new wireless services and meets bottom-line cost objectives both today and in the future.”
