UNICON Signs $3.4M Contract with Ohio EPA Division of Air Pollution Control to Provide State-of-the-art Web-based IT System

UNICON International, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s Division of Air Pollution Control to provide a web-based permitting and reporting IT system. The proposed system will replace existing manual processes and legacy systems for conducting DAPC business processes including administration of the permitting process, emissions reporting by regulated facilities, and meeting external interface requirements with upstream systems.

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) February 15, 2006 — UNICON International, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s Division of Air Pollution Control to provide a web-based permitting and reporting IT system. UNICON will team with Mentorgen LLC of Worthington, Ohio to provide a customized solution that includes an easy to use web based user interface. The solution will integrate and consolidate several existing databases. The implementation effort will take place at the Ohio EPA’s offices in Columbus, Ohio and is expected to last up to two years.

UNICON and Mentorgen will provide a complete range of IT services including project management, business analysis, software development, software testing, database conversion, and user training. The core of the system will be based on Mentorgen’s OSSM software platform.
