Mikey Powell and the Villain’s Trust perform for The Set at JSM Music

This alternative rock band proves the all-star athlete’s talent isn’t limited to lacrosse

New York, NY—June 3,2008—Mikey Powell may be known for his impeccable abilities on the lacrosse field, but the Villain’s Trust proves that behind a guitar and a microphone he’s equally stellar. Backed by John Hanus (Lead Guitar), Joe Bell (Bass Guitar), and Lewk Detor (Drums), Powell packs a powerful punch with his true-to-life lyrics and rhythm guitar overlay. Collectively, The Villain’s trust creates a sound that’s part funk rock, part jazz, and all soul.

Currently pressing their first EP and the two singles “Arrested” and “Keys,” Powell and the gang took a short break from their spring tour (and Powell’s busy Lacrosse schedule as part of the Boston Cannons) to record a session for the Woozyfly.com web series The Set at JSM Music. Watch as they lay down the jams during this live shoot and catch their exclusive interview only at http://www.woozyfly.com/mikeypowelland the villainstrust.
