OnHollywood 2008

Today, AlwaysOn presents its second annual Hollywood IT list. This industry insider list features the top entertainment executives and dealmakers who really get IT—information technology – and its growing impact on the entertainment and media economies. Last year’s list consisted of 12 pioneers who used technology to distribute and market their companies’ traditional entertainment products as well as to create new content. This year, AlwaysOn expanded the Hollywood IT list to fit the growing number of execs embracing innovative entertainment trends.

AlwaysOn will be celebrating the Hollywood IT list at an exclusive gathering kicking off OnHollywood 2008 at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood on Monday, June 9 at 6:30 pm. This party is invitation only and will be followed by a live comedy show.

The Hollywood IT list recognizes the investors and dealmakers who are seeding the entrepreneurs and hooking them up with the industry establishment. The selection process involved nominations from talent agencies, technology insiders, venture capital gurus, and media watchers. Though the list is by no means comprehensive, it gives an overview of the industry chiefs who are forging the future of digital entertainment.

With backgrounds in marketing, technology, venture capital, and content creation, in both Hollywood and Silicon Valley, these executives are on top of their digital content game.
