Neil Kadisha of Omninet Announces New Web Site Dedicated to Civic Studies in Israel

Neil Kadisha of Omninet Capital and Citizens Empowerment Center in Israel (CECI) announced that the Ministry of Education in Israel, in cooperation with the CECI, and CET, has launched a unique interactive and innovative website for Civic Studies in Israel.
Attending a recent press conference were Minister of Education Professor Yuli Tamir, Member of Knesset Michael Eitan, Parviz Nazarian, Dora Kadisha, Neil Kadisha and representatives of The Center for Education Technology.

For the first time in Israel – A complete digital version of the Civics text book “To Be Citizens in Israel”, which is mandatory for students studying for their matriculation exam, is now online. This digital version is enriched with information and databases, presentations, suggested studying techniques, questions and practice exercises and includes current affairs and multimedia content. The website provides different links, allowing the user to study beyond just the text-book and contains updated material on current events, live operators to help students with online Q&A, and video clips of different political figures and academia discussing a variety of subjects.
Teacher’s forum – Cooperative database of lessons, variety of suggestions for teaching methods, online seminars with the top experts, accessibility to relevant material, and more.
Student forum – Exercises in different levels, forums for posting questions, games, assistance from experts from academia and from human rights groups, studying materials, current affairs questionnaires, chat rooms for discussions on the news and more.
News section – Presents actual issues from Israel and around the world that shows the students the practical essence of civics through a variety of questions and discussions.
Ask the Experts Section – Students and teachers can ask questions of academic experts on different subjects including Political Science and Law, as well as Human Rights issues.
Comprehensive database with hundreds of pages of text and pictures on a variety of issues including: government authorities, state and society, law, prominent public figures and more.
Library of videos on a variety of issues of Civics and Democracy in Israel.
