‘Last Straw’ Site Allows Fans to Submit Uses for Chance to Win $5,000 Toolbox, Weekly Prizes

WD-40 Company and PowerBlock TV are teaming up to build a heavy-duty work truck and offer automotive enthusiasts a chance to win a $5,000 toolbox from Matco Tools.

This weekend the hosts of “Xtreme 4X4,” part of the PowerBlock on Spike TV, will turn a 2008 GMC Sierra into the WD-40 Ultimate Work Truck by giving it new bumpers, a lift kit, power enhancers and big rig tires. The heavy-duty truck recently helped hosts of the show, WD-40 Company and Rebuilding Together rebuild a home in Nashville, Tenn., and will be auctioned off for charity later this year, with the proceeds benefiting Rebuilding Together’s veteran housing program.

The partners have also developed The Last Straw, a contest site and interactive online community at wd40.powerblocktv.com, where WD-40 fans can submit videos and photos of their favorite uses for the product for a chance to win weekly giveaways and a grand prize $5,000 Matco toolbox.
