WiMAX PC Card Demonstration at Shows to Replicate the Commercially Deployed Systems Currently Installed
WiMAX Forum Global Congress 2008
Booth 3.54
CommunicAsia 2008
Booth 4D1-01

WiNetworks, a pioneer and leader in the development and integration of WiMAX 802.16e Wave 2 (MIMO) technologies, will demonstrate the Win-Max solution for nomadic WiMAX to laptop users via the WiN5700 PC Card. This demonstration will be using the Win-Max WiN5700 PC Card in the 3.5GHz frequency, and is an exact replication of the already commercially deployed system working in several countries around the globe.

The WiN5700 is a high-performance mobile WiMAX data card that provides complete 802.16e mobile WiMAX broadband wireless access functionality to a range of personal computers. The WiN5700 PC card provides high data throughput to business users who need both bandwidth and mobility on the road. WiN5700 delivers up to 5Mbps throughput for best user experience.

WiNetworks Win-Max solution is comprised of a fully compliant WiMAX 802.16e Wave 2 (MIMO) compact and newly launched Pico base station, Outdoor CPEs, Indoor Self Install units, and PC Cards. Together, the Win-Max solution provides a complete end-to-end WiMAX solution for fixed and nomadic WiMAX in the 802.16e mobile WiMAX Standard.

“This demonstration is identical to our working system already deployed with customers in several locations,” states Mr. Yoram Shkedi, VP Sales & Marketing of WiNetworks Ltd. “We are pleased to be able to bring it to these exhibitions where a high concentration of operators and visitors will be able to view first-hand the efficiency of a nomadic WiMAX solution in the field.”

The WiN5700 PC Card is commercially available in the 2.5GHz and 3.5GHz frequencies. The Win-Max product family also supports special frequency ranges and is managed by the WiNMS Network Management System.

WiNetworks will be showing the PC Card demonstration at WiMAX Forum Global Congress, June 17-18, in Amsterdam, booth 3.54, and at CommunicAsia, June 17-20, in Singapore, booth 4D1-01.
