eWorld Music, a subsidiary of eWorld Companies, Inc. (Pink Sheets: EWRC), will host the Hollywood Music Awards on November 20th, 2008 at the world-famous Kodak Theatre complex in Hollywood, California. A diverse line up of artists and celebrity appearances will highlight this star-studded gala, which will also feature live music performances, award presentations, a VIP reception and a banquet dinner catered by Wolfgang Puck. The show will be shot with multiple HD cameras and for digital worldwide broadcast in eWorld’s Boomerang Media Station.

The Hollywood Music Awards (HMA) is the only red carpet style event in the world that celebrates music in contemporary and new visual mediums. Honoring a variety of music styles, from traditional to experimental, the awards show will give equal attention to both signed and independent music artists for original works. Separate categories will focus on artists whose music is used in films, television, video games, commercial advertisements, web-based videos and other new visual media and special Lifetime Achievement and Career Achievement Awards will be presented to iconic artists for outstanding musical contributions to the art of music in film, television and other forms of media. New technology will also be recognized for innovation and creativity. However, it is independent music artists that will dominate the award categories and have the most to gain. Submissions from around the world, for nearly every music genre, will be accepted and evaluated for consideration. Being nominated and possibly winning an award at the HMA event could be a career-defining moment for an emerging talent. Submissions are being accepted now at www.hollywoodmusicawards.net and through www.sonicbids.com and response has been heavy for the first batch of submissions (deadline June 15th).

The HMA Advisory Board and Selections Committee are comprised of some the most prominent and influential professionals in the industry. One of the main goals of the HMA is to introduce new music to those responsible for placing and licensing music in visual mediums. Executive producer Brent Harvey explains, “By having big time music supervisors, licensers, publishers and producers involved, we feel significant opportunities will occur for emerging talent that otherwise might never be realized.” Harvey adds, “Who wouldn’t want their song featured in ‘Grand Theft Auto V,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ or the next Iron Man movie?”

Over the next few months, the presence of the HMA will permeate entertainment communities and the public consciousness via on-line promotions, news items and nominee announcements. Since TV commercials, movie trailers, films, video games and web-based videos are the most popular sources of entertainment, the HMA will hit home with the general public. The HMA producers are planning various interactive promotions for anyone with a computer to get involved, stay informed and vote on selected categories.
