Haddock joins to manage Global Alliances and Applications - growth of global partner alliances and application development community to be key priorities

Cambridge, UK, 16 June 2008: OpenCloud Limited, the supplier of real-time application servers for next-generation telecommunications services, today announced the appointment of Christopher Haddock responsible for Global Alliances and Applications. In this position, Chris will grow OpenCloud’s global partner alliances and market-facing initiatives. His role will encompass OEM relationships, application partners, software developers and system integrators.

Chris has more than 25 years’ experience specifically in technology and wireless telecom industries, most recently at Acision where he was head of product marketing. In this role, he was responsible for developing business propositions for Service Providers in the mobile and multiplay markets and structuring the delivery of these to a global customer base. Prior to this, Chris was director of product marketing at Ubiquity Software Corporation where he created and built its successful application developer eco-system.

With strong knowledge of international telecommunications and IT markets, and reputable skills in establishing partner relationships on a global basis, Chris’s remit will focus on driving all partner operations and the innovation associated with OpenCloud’s recently launched application development ecosystem. This launch was essential to support the growing community of Rhino application developers (www.developer.opencloud.com).

“Chris has exceptional understanding of partner relationships and marketing campaigns, including experience of global product marketing in the telecoms software space, so his appointment was a natural choice for OpenCloud,” commented Jeff Gordon, CEO at OpenCloud. “Chris has built significant partner relationships and credibility, establishing partner and market presence well beyond that expected for the companies of the size Chris has worked for. Crucially, his experience at building telecoms application developer communities in the applications server space is a massive asset for our own activities in this area.

“The knowledge Chris, therefore, brings reinforces OpenCloud’s position as an important global player in the next-generation telecoms network application server market.”
