Company Redesigns Core Product Set to Accommodate Growing Need for High Definition

VBrick Systems, Inc., the leader in streaming and online video systems and solutions, today announced its next generation product architecture and the availability of its newest networked video appliances, the VBrick 7000 and 8000 series. Capable of supporting both standard and high definition video delivery, the new H.264-based video appliances allow organizations to deliver amazing video quality at any given bandwidth.

“Over the last ten years, VBrick has established itself as the leader in the online video space,” said Vince Graziani, CEO of VBrick Systems. “We pride ourselves in having delivered the most robust, feature-rich and reliable products available. At the same time, we understand that many of the new applications our customers are requesting, most notably high definition, require a fundamentally new architecture. With our customer’s needs in mind, we redesigned our core set of products to offer high definition, while keeping all of the cutting-edge product qualities that our customers have come to expect from VBrick.”

The VBrick H.264 appliance is the first in a line of products that will be delivered on VBrick’s new standards-based MicroTCA architecture. The product line will initially consist of two appliances—standard definition (SD) and High Definition (HD). Additionally, these products will be available as blades for VBrick’s MicroTCA high density shelf, which will be available in the first quarter of next year. All versions will provide features such as low delay encoding, multicasting, remote management, and enhanced quality for any given bandwidth.
Standard Definition Appliance – Targeted for corporate communications, training, process monitoring and military exercises, the standard H.264 appliance excels at bit rates of less than 1.5 Mb/sec. Many resolutions are available, up to a full D1.
High Definition Appliance – For television distribution over a corporate network, digital signage, military training, healthcare and other types of high-resolution video applications, the HD appliance offers stunning quality for video applications displayed on large format screens. The HD appliance offers high definition video delivery at 1 Mb/sec and up, and multiple HD connections for inputs.
High Density Shelf – For enterprises looking to incorporate several VBrick encoders or decoders onto their network for video surveillance or “head end” applications, the high density architecture reduces the cost per channel, rack space, and energy use while also increasing reliability.

“In the future, our new architecture will power all of the VBrick products,” said Graziani. The architecture is truly revolutionary in the industry and will allow VBrick to further extend its lead over the competition.”

VBrick’s core product offering is the industry’s leading networked video appliance. This Video Brick enables customers to capture and deliver live streaming video over any network. This complete video delivery system can capture, record, manage and distribute video across the enterprise.

VBrick also provides a complete InternetTV solution through our new service offering. This “Video Streaming as a Service” (VSaaS) is a complete service package that enables customers to stream, manage and monetize video content over the internet. It provides a managed model allowing customers to enter the InternetTV market quickly and easily.
