‘Switched on’ Award For Serviced Office Space Provider

The Quadrant’s one of South Yorkshires leading office space providers, are the first to be accredited as ict active – a new award that recognises excellent ICT infrastructure.

Ict active accreditation, a new South Yorkshire-based scheme supported by Yorkshire Forward and Business Link South Yorkshire, aims to help businesses find workplaces that can support their needs and is the first of its kind in Britain.

To become accredited, the Quadrant underwent a thorough technical survey which tested ICT infrastructure, telephony and internet accessibility. Assessors were impressed with the Quadrant’s range of internet packages and VPN connectivity which enable office tenants to work from home when necessary.

The Quadrant is one of Sheffield’s flagship business communities, with 35,000 sq ft of serviced offices, conference and meeting rooms, ranging from 269 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft.

Opened in 2005, the Quadrant is a community-owned and run operation with profits being fed back into community projects across south Sheffield.

About The Quadrant
The Quadrant is owned and managed by the Parkway Business Centre Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Manor and Castle Development Trust – a community-run organisation which has managed multi-million pound regeneration projects in south Sheffield in recent years.

The profits made from the operation of the Quadrant, together with income generated by other MCDT assets and schemes, are used to support the ongoing regeneration of the Manor and Castle areas of Sheffield, formerly two of the UK’s most disadvantaged neighbourhoods.

The construction of The Quadrant has been supported by funds from Yorkshire Forward, the European Regional Development Fund Objective 1 Programme, and Manor and Castle Development Trust.
