Best Buy to Support Orlando Digital Transition Test, Helping Consumers Prepare with In-Store Workshops

What: Local Best Buy BlueShirt employees are conducting in-store workshops to help consumers prepare for the June 25th Orlando digital transition (DTV) test. These workshops will be held in nine stores across the Orlando market on Saturday, June 21st starting at 10a.m. The DTV workshops will be comprised of visual demonstrations and home theater tips making it a great opportunity to gather information on the analog to digital broadcast transition.

– Consumers’ three options to prepare for the digital transition
– An explanation of the NTIA’s coupon program and how to apply
– Tips for converter box installation
– Information on antennas and when they are necessary
When: The Orlando in-store DTV workshops will be held on Saturday, June 21st starting at 10a.m.
Why: The DTV workshop will help consumers prepare for the digital transition on February 17, 2009 when all full-power television stations in the United States stop broadcasting in analog and switch to 100 percent digital broadcasting
