GE today announces the appointment of six new company officers. GE now has 195 officers globally. GE officers lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.
Below is the list of GE’s six new officers:
Robert Gilligan, 48, was recently named GE’s new vice president of Transmission and Distribution at GE Energy, a business within GE Infrastructure. During his 17 years with GE, Gilligan has held several leadership positions including general manager of Transmission and Distribution at GE Energy and other leadership roles in GE Consumer and Industrial and GE Healthcare including general manager of automation technology solutions, X-ray global product manager, and service operations manager. Gilligan obtained his Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1981.
Kevin G. McAllister, 44, is vice president of sales at GE Aviation, a business within GE Infrastructure and has been with GE for 18 years. Prior to his current role, he held several leadership positions at GE Aviation including, pole general manager of North and Latin America sales, general manager of customer and product support, general manager of customer satisfaction and master blackbelt of engine services. McAllister received a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986.
Scott S. Pollard, 49, was recently named vice president and chief financial officer of the Power Generation business at GE Energy, a business within GE Infrastructure. During his 26 years at GE, he held several leadership roles within GE Energy, including finance manager at Power Generation, finance manager of energy products in Europe and manager of commercial finance. Pollard obtained his Bachelors degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA.
Timothy J. Schweikert, 47, is vice president of GE Infrastructure, China and president of GE Transportation, China. During his 23 years with GE, Schweikert held several leadership roles within GE Infrastructure including general manager of global locomotive operations and marketing and sales leader of small commercial aircraft engines operations. Schweikert graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Masters degree in Engineering and obtained a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University in 1984.
Francis X. Taylor, 59, was recently named vice president and chief security officer at Corporate. Prior to his three years at GE, Taylor was assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. and a Brigadier General and Commander, U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. Taylor obtained a Masters and Bachelors degree in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
Yuezhong “Jack” Wen, 39, is vice president, GE Energy and China region executive at GE Energy, and has been with GE for more than 10 years. Prior to his current role, Wen has held several leadership roles within GE Energy including China region executive, Energy Service sales operation manager in Atlanta and director of sales for GE Energy in China. Prior to joining GE, Wen was area sales manager at Alstom T&D in Shanghai and an electrical engineer at Shanghai Kaineng Company. Wen obtained a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1994 and an additional Masters degree in Business Administration from China Europe International Business School in 2005.
