Sprint Nextel Completes Acquisition of Velocita Wireless

Sprint Nextel Corp. (NYSE: S) has completed its acquisition of Velocita Wireless, based in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Velocita Wireless will operate as a subsidiary of Sprint Nextel, which intends to use some of Velocita’s 900 MHz spectrum to supplement Sprint Nextel’s capacity and coverage for its iDEN®-based Nextel National Network.
