New Tilana.com Feature: Interviews with Tilana Reserve™ Users
General Press Releases June 29th, 2008
Unedited Testimony from Current and Active Users of the Tilana Reserve Cloud Server-Based Data Protection, Synchronization, and Archive SaaS Now Featured at Tilana.com
Tilana Systems Corporation launched new web content today, as part of the end user focused area of its corporate web site.
Named “Interviews with Tilana Reserve Users” (http://www.tilana.com/tilana-reserve/interviews.aspx), the new section of the web site features the first published Q & A exchange with a fully identified active user of the online data protection and sync and archive service.
“I sync files between my desktop and laptop, and soon also with a second desktop,” says Tilana Reserve customer Robert Thompson, owner/operator of eVantage design™ (http://www.evantagedesign.com), a custom web development company. “It is important that I have my work files with me whenever I work away from my home office (with my laptop). With this feature I never have to worry about which files to take with me when I am on the road.”
While cloud storage-based folder and file sync is a primary need that is met for Mr. Thompson by Tilana Reserve, another possibly more important one is automatic and unlimited remote version history storage and access. Following is what he has to say about versioning from Tilana Reserve.
“This (secure off-site version history storage) is one of the most important time saving features. Occasionally I will be working on a project (client) file that can require a certain amount of troubleshooting, often related to how various browsers render a web page. This always involves editing and saving the file for (test) display in (different) browsers many times. Once in a while edits take the file in a direction that proves to be incorrect. With all file versions saved, I simply retrieve the one prior to the most recent series of edits. So instead of starting over, and possibly losing hours, many hours are saved…”

More interviews with other users of the Tilana Reserve service will follow, added to the web site periodically as they are selected from a growing queue of favorable survey responses from Tilana Reserve customers who are pleased with its performance.
“The story told by Mr. Thompson is one that resonates with that of so many other happy users of Tilana Reserve and the technology behind it,” said Tilana Marketing VP, Derek Finley. “The secure yet accessible Personal Digital Archive™ provided by the Tilana enabled data center automatically and effortlessly becomes a point of adhesion between business and personal sides of our customers’ digital lives.”
