Transcend Ranks No. 62 Globally in Business Week’s InfoTech 100

New Delhi, July 02, 2008 – Transcend Information Inc., a worldwide leader in memory products, once again proved that it stands out above the competition in the global technology industry. In Business Week magazine`s 2008 InfoTech 100, a list of the world’s top 100 technology companies, Transcend ranks a respectable No. 62 overall and No. 7 in semiconductor industry. The company also demonstrated outstanding performance in individual categories, ranking 13th in revenue growth and scoring the 31st best ROE. A total of 18 Taiwanese companies listed in the InfoTech 100, with Transcend ranking eighth best among them. Only 33 companies from the U.S. were listed in the IT 100 this year, down from 43 in 2007.
Each year, Business Week sorts through the financial results of some 30,500 publicly traded technology companies across the globe, and ranks them based on four major criteria: shareholder return, revenue growth, return on equity and total revenue. This year’s results also feature a number of Indian technology majors including Bharti Airtel at No. 61, Reliance Communications at No. 66, Wipro at No. 74 and HCL at No. 95.
