New Delhi, July 21, 2008 – Targus Technologies, one of the leading system and network integrators in India has announced that it has achieved revenues of Rs.50 Crore in the first quarter of the current financial year (2008-09), which is in line with its target to achieve the turnover of Rs.200 Crore during the financial year 2008-09. Targus earned Rs.10 Crore during the last 2 weeks of the quarter alone owing to a few large orders for enterprise products.

According to Col. Balwinder Singh, Director, Targus Technologies Pvt. Ltd., “The achievement of the ambitious target in terms of revenues for this quarter is just an indication of our commitment towards our goal to emerge as one of the Top 5 system integrators in India. We are confident that we will be able to meet the revenue target for the year and will execute some very large implementations demonstrating our capabilities across diverse verticals and technologies.”

Targus achieved the quarterly revenue milestone riding onto the revenues earned from four major orders for Unix Servers, Blade Servers, Storage Solutions and HP Open call – all enterprise products, implementation of which is the core strength area for the company. Targus aims to strengthen its end-to-end implementation services portfolio and reach out to a larger audience, particularly the largely untapped SMB segment and help them realize the potential of technology.

During this quarter, Targus also entered into a strategic tie-up with Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure unified mobility solutions, wherein, Targus will become the largest system integrator for Aruba Network’s solutions in India.

“The SMB segment is one of the key focus areas for Targus as it offers a huge opportunity to any serious player. We aim to educate our target customers about the benefits of investment in various technologies and help them harness its vast potential to the benefit of their business,” added Col. Singh.

Targus is consistently working towards strengthening its position in the Indian market and had also recently announced its plans to expand its footprint across the country by shifting its head office to a new location in Gurgaon and the opening up of a new branch office in Mumbai.

Targus Technologies achieved a turnover of Rs.120 crore and their headcount touched 250 plus in the year 2007-08. Apart from this, there were many other significant customer wins in 2007 for Targus including Whirlpool, Vodafone, CNBC, DIT, WSP etc. Targus Technologies is looking to touch a turnover of Rs.200 crore in the current financial year 2008-09 and also increase their headcount to 400.
