IBM Launches Global Business Solution Center to Accelerate Global Delivery Network
IBM today announced a new Global Business Solution Center in Bangalore, India, that will enable IBM to provide clients worldwide with a range of high-value solutions through its global network of delivery centers. The Bangalore center will allow IBM consultants to develop and deploy solutions in over 50 key business areas such as Consumer Driven Supply Chain Optimization, Banking Risk and Compliance, and Retail Merchandising.
With the Global Business Solutions Center, IBM will create and enhance a portfolio of replicable industry solutions that are developed by combining the strengths of IBM’s business consulting, research, software, systems, engineering, and emerging technologies. These new solutions will be built based on IBM’s Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) methodology, and in collaboration with IBM clients and business partners. The center will become a foundry for the solutions, enabling IBM to deliver them to clients globally, rapidly and cost-effectively, through its global network of consulting delivery centers.
IBM’s global network includes consulting delivery centers in Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, Hungary, India, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Poland, Romania, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States.
“At the Global Business Solutions Center, IBM is embedding a range of high-value capabilities such as consulting, research, and emerging technologies, into easily managed reusable tools that can be delivered globally,” said Amitabh Ray, Director of Global Delivery, IBM India. “In doing so, we are creating a new model for delivering consulting services that will allow our clients to have greater access to innovative solutions for solving their most important business issues.”
