IBM Prescribes ThinkPad Notebooks and ThinkCentre Desktops
IBM today announced that ParadigmHealth, a leading provider of disease management services for intensive and clinically complex patients, has deployed more than 200 ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops. The company plans to continue to work with IBM and the new Lenovo to further expand its deployment of ThinkVantage Technologies.
ParadigmHealth is focused on the identification, risk stratification, triage and management of the highest cost and most clinically complex medical events. With an emphasis on continuing to protect patient privacy, ParadigmHealth streamlined its IT infrastructure using ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops. In making its deployment decision, ParadigmHealth looked beyond its previous commodity PC vendor to find a provider that could offer a more complete technology solution.
“IBM’s commitment to ParadigmHealth allows our company to concentrate less on the desktops and notebooks of our infrastructure, and instead, focus on further improving our innovative technologies and on-site care management capabilities,” said Russell Wong, Senior Director of IT for ParadigmHealth. “As a small to medium-size business with an enterprise mentality, we strived to standardize our IT department with a consistent solution so that we could commit our resources to improving our core business functions.”
In 2002, ParadigmHealth began a pilot deployment of IBM ThinkPad notebooks. Since that time, the durability, functionality and advanced technology of the ThinkPad notebooks have proven themselves, generating loyalty and trust throughout the organization. ParadigmHealth has deployed ThinkCentre S50 desktops and several models of ThinkPad T Series notebooks, and has plans to migrate to the recently announced ThinkPad T43.
