Guidance Software Receives Highest Ranking as a Software Provider in Industry-Leading 2008 Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey

Company also receives highest ranking for the deployment of EnCase software and professional services offerings, as well as top rankings in several additional categories

Guidance Software Inc. (NASDAQ:GUID), the World Leader in Digital Investigations™, today announced that the company and its industry-leading EnCase® software were given the highest ranking (Top 5 Provider) in the eDiscovery Software Providers Category of Socha-Gelbmann’s 2008 Electronic Discovery Survey. Guidance Software was also given the highest ranking by corporations in the survey’s Electronic Discovery Service Provider category and noted for its top-ranked collection capabilities. The company also received the highest ranking in several other categories in the report.

The Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey is an independent survey conducted by two independent consultants, George Socha and Tom Gelbmann, and is widely-recognized as being the industry’s most comprehensive eDiscovery survey. The survey gathers information from eDiscovery services and software providers, law firms and corporations—using more than 350 qualitative and quantitative factors.
