Enfora, a leading global supplier of intelligent wireless networking solutions, today announced that its mobile tracking platform will be used to increase the transportation efficiency, safety and manageability for visiting dignitaries, volunteers and spectators during the Beijing Olympic Games.

Working in conjunction with its partner RCG China, Enfora provided the core communications technology supporting an end-to-end mobile tracking application that enables surveillance and location based services for various leased vehicles, city taxis and the Audi vehicles utilized during the Games. (Audi is the official provider of premium automobiles for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.)

“We welcomed the opportunity to lend our expertise and technology to this important global event,” said Brian Murphy, vice president, worldwide sales, Enfora. “We are proud that our solution will be used to enhance the Olympics experience for the attendees of this event.”

Enfora’s Spider® MT-uL, the solution chosen by RCG China, is an IP-based wireless tracking platform that brings together the hardware and software required to optimize the connection between the wireless device and the enterprise system.
