Wave Entertainment Network™, a division of SeaMobile® Enterprises, announced today its top-tier IPTV television platform available to the cruise line industry worldwide. The continually expanding lineup includes linear and on-demand programming services from major media companies such as A&E Networks, CBS, Comcast, Cox Communications, Discovery Networks, Fox Cable, Fox News, NBC Universal, Twentieth Century Fox Studios and Viacom.
In addition, cruise line guests who are sailing in the Mediterranean are able to view television programs in a variety of different languages from the top European providers, including Euronews, BBC News, BBC Prime, France 24, TV5 Monde, RAI International, RAI News 24, DW TV, ARD, and TVE International.
By offering a premier selection of news, sports, movies, music and other entertainment from a broad array of content providers, cruise lines that carry the Wave programming can deliver television that appeals to all ages and demographics.
“We’re thrilled to announce a fantastic extended lineup for our Wave television platform,” said Larry Lemoine, Wave Entertainment President and former DIRECTV senior executive. “This is a major milestone in our efforts to offer a wide and exciting array of digital television programming that is at par or better than what cruise line guests receive at home and all delivered with superior picture quality to their stateroom in the middle of the ocean.”
The Wave programming platform is the first multi-channel, interactive television system ever to be distributed to passenger cruise ships in all ocean regions around the world. Wave Entertainment Network is part of the vision of parent company SeaMobile Enterprises to provide a host of dynamic communications, information, and entertainment services that extend far beyond basic telephony. SeaMobile is already the market leader in providing broadband services at sea.
