On August 8, media and volunteers gathered in the Internet lounge at the Main Press Center to watch as the Olympic flag made its entrance during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. The PC company Lenovo created this Internet lounge, along with six others in the Olympic Village. In the week before the Olympic Games began, 4,000 athletes and Olympic family members visited the i.lounges each day.
