Rackspace Hosting, Inc. Celebrates IPO on the NYSE

Rackspace Hosting, Inc., a recognized leader in the hosting market headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, opened for trading today on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “RAX” after its successful initial public offering in which it raised $187.5 million.

Of the 64 technology IPOs that listed on NYSE or NASDAQ in 2007, 14 out of 16 of those qualifying for the NYSE selected the Exchange as their IPO venue. A total of 18 new technology companies joined NYSE Group markets as new listings in 2007.
In 2007, Technology issuers raised in excess of $5.4 billion on NYSE Group markets, more than IPO proceeds raised by technology companies on Nasdaq OMX markets.
