IntellaSys today announced the promotions of Greg Bailey to Vice President of SEAforth Engineering and Michael Montvelishsky to Vice President of SEAforth Applications. Also, Yu-Ping (YP) Cheng has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Strategic Solutions. All three now will be reporting directly to President and CEO Chet Brown.
“Greg and Michael have shown exceptional leadership, and with their promotions I am looking to streamline the organization and allow us to achieve profitability as early as possible,” Brown said. “YP has been instrumental to the company’s successes in bringing SEAforth products to our customers.”
Since 1975, Bailey has been programming exclusively in Forth, a software language invented by Chuck Moore, IntellaSys CTO. He has consulted for many companies including Lockheed Missiles & Space, NCR Corporation, Unisys, Digalog Corporation, FORTH, Inc., Raytheon, and McDonnell Douglas.
Bailey is moving up from his position as Director of Microprocessor Development, and assumes the leadership of the SEAforth Engineering Team with responsibility for software, OKAD, chip development, and testing.
Montvelishsky is being promoted from his post as Director of Software Engineering. He now manages the Applications Programming Team with responsibility for protoypes and application development for both internal and external customers.
Prior to IntellaSys, Montvelishsky held senior staff positions at several high-tech firms including Tivella Inc., EnReach Technology and iTV Corporation. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from St. Petersburg State University.
Cheng began his high-tech career with IBM over 30 years ago, and has since worked extensively to develop computer storage and networking technologies, for which holds a multiple of patents. He later founded AdvanSys as CTO, and was Chief Scientist at both Maranti Networks and Matisse Networks where he defined the initial products for both companies.
