Kmart Signs on as Premiere Sponsor of “Hola Martín”
Univision Radio, the leading Spanish-language radio group in the U.S., announced today that beauty and fashion expert Martín Llorens has joined RadioCadena, Univision’s national AM radio network, to host “Hola Martín,” a fun and upbeat new program featuring sought-after celebrity guests, renowned experts and engaging musical surprises. Kmart has signed on as the premiere sponsor of “Hola Martín,” which airs Monday through Friday across RadioCadena.
“‘Hola Martín’ speaks directly to the needs and concerns of our demographic — young Hispanics who tune in to be both entertained and educated about topics not addressed on other Spanish-language talk radio programs,” said Gary Stone, president and chief operating officer, Univision Radio.
As part of the premiere sponsorship, Kmart will run brand spots and vignettes, as well as feature two integrated segments that will highlight the variety of brands and products available at the retailer with practical tips on how these products are relevant to the lives of listeners.
“RadioCadena’s ‘Hola Martín’ offers marketers a powerful outlet for reaching Hispanics on-air, on-site and online,” said David Lawenda, president, advertising sales & marketing, Univision Communications Inc.
Listeners are encouraged to call into “Hola Martín” and seek Llorens’ expert advice on fashion, beauty, and feeling good. Regular segments include:
Estilo (Style), in which Martín will cover current fashion and makeup trends; fashion and grooming dos and don’ts for men and women and practical tips to teach people how to dress for their body types;
Salud (Healthy Habits), in which Martín will provide a healthy lifestyle tip-of-the-day, encouraging listeners to improve their physical and emotional well-being;
¿Cómo lo Hacen? (How Do They Do It?) Interviews with Hispanic celebrities and recognized experts to get their perspectives on everything from personal style, to the little things they do to make themselves happy;
Tarea (Homework), simple daily assignments listeners can practice at home, encouraging them to try something new each day.
Martín Llorens, frequently seen on Univision’s #1 national morning show “Despierta America” (Wake Up America), is a renowned fashion and beauty expert with more than 14 years of experience in empowering the Hispanic community with the tools they need to dress for success, improve their self-esteem and project their best image for any occasion — be it social or professional.
