Trident Space & Defense, (formerly a division of TRW) will be exhibiting its Triton Series of ruggedized Solid State Drives (SSDs) at the Armed Forced Communications Electronics Association LandWarNet 2008 to be held August 19-21 at the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. LandWarNet will be the largest and most complete Defense, Communications and Information Technology event in the Southeast. Trident will be at Booth #837.

The Triton Series of Solid State Drives incorporates SLC Flash memory in a completely solid-state design. Triton SSDs are offered in standard 2.5 inch PATA/IDE or SATA form factor. Making them ideal as direct drop-in replacements for conventional rotating hard disks that often fail in harsh environments where temperature fluctuations, shock, vibration, dust, moisture, and/or magnetic fields are present. Trident also offers its BGADrive, which is a high density IDE SSD in a Ball Grid Array (BGA) package. With densities up to 32GB and a footprint of only 29mm x 29mm, this makes it a perfect solution for embedded systems and other devices where space is at a premium.
