Only Major Car Website That Offers Used Car Searches by MPG

CarMax, Inc. (NYSE:KMX), the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, announced the launch of a new feature that allows customers to search for vehicles based on their fuel-efficiency preferences. Carmax.com is the only major car website that now lets consumers search for used cars by mpg.

“Since gas prices remain high, people are looking for vehicles that offer better fuel efficiency,” said Ann Yauger, director of carmax.com. “The new mpg search feature on carmax.com makes shopping for fuel-efficient vehicles as fast and easy as a few simple clicks from our homepage.”

To start your search for fuel-efficient vehicles:
Click the red “MPG” tab on the carmax.com homepage – then click on your ideal miles per gallon, and the vehicles in that category will be displayed.
Refine your search further by clicking any of the other applicable search criteria, such as make, model, vehicle type, features, transmission, color, and cylinders.

Also highlighted on the carmax.com homepage are two new “quick link” buttons designed for budget-minded consumers looking for lower priced or higher mpg vehicles. One link instantly displays all available cars rated with over 30 mpg. The other link pulls up all available cars priced under $12,000.

The CarMax website can be used to research information on vehicles of various makes and models. The website showcases vehicles with multiple photos, the no-haggle price, and information on features, options, fuel economy and customer reviews.
