ROK’s Geniem in Exclusive Mobile Content Distribution Agreement with Rotana

ROK Entertainment Group’s Geniem subsidiary to create on-device portals for delivery of Rotana content to mobile phones across the Middle East

London, United Kingdom – 20th August 2008: ROK Entertainment Group (OTCBB: ROKE), the global mobile entertainment company, has announced its Finland-based mobile services development company, Geniem, has signed an exclusive mobile content delivery agreement with Rotana, the world’s largest producer and distributor of Arabic music and films.

Under the terms of the agreement, Geniem will build customised on-device portals (ODP’s) for Rotana’s mobile partners to be deployed across the Middle East, enabling users to seamlessly access its diverse content portfolio from their mobile phones.

Owned by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Rotana has grown to become the world’s largest Arabic entertainment company, producing and distributing the latest Arabic music and films throughout the world. In addition, Rotana is the leading Arabic mobile content distributor in the Middle East, North Africa, the Gulf and Europe.

Rotana has amassed a portfolio that includes the leading Arabic music stars such as Amr Diab, Mohammed Abdou, Kazem Al Saher, Elissa, Sherine, Ahlam, Nawal Al Kuwaitiya, Najwa Karam, Georges Wassouf, Abdullah Rweished and Abdulmajeed Abdullah. In addition, Rotana has an extensive film library comprising more than 2000 Arabic movies ranging from great classics to the most recent blockbusters, making Rotana the biggest private owner of Arabic film library in the world.
