Kodak Signs Three-Year Contract To Supply Consorta Members With Secure Email Services
Eastman Kodak Company announced that Consorta, Inc. has awarded the company a three-year contract for secure email services. Under terms of the agreement, Consorta – a leading healthcare resource management organization for faith-based and non-profit health systems in the U.S. – will make KODAK Secure Email Services available to more than 500 acute and 300 extended care facilities nationwide.
Kodak’s secure email software encrypts e-mail messages and attachments enabling physicians, patients, providers and other authorized users to share patient information securely over the Internet. Developed by Kodak’s Health Group, this innovative service expedites secure communication between approved parties, and replaces the expensive and time-consuming process of using various package delivery services to transport medical records, x-ray images and related patient files.
Kodak has multiple contracts with Consorta – one of the nation’s largest group purchasing organizations (GPO) – including a greements for computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR) image capture systems, radiology and mammography medical films, and for laser imaging systems.
