Visualant Announces Letter of Intent with the RATLAB

First Commercial License in Three Fields of Use

Visualant, Inc. (OTCBB:VSUL), a technology company developing powerful spectral data-based security, diagnostic and quality control solutions, today announced the signing of a Letter of Intent with RATLAB LLC. The agreement advances the historic strategic relationship between the two companies and provides for the first commercial licensing of the proprietary Visualant technology to the RATLAB, and as yet to be formed affiliate, for three fields of use.

Visualant Chairman, Ron Erickson, said, “We see great potential in the commercialization of the Visualant technology in the medical, environmental and agricultural domains. Dr. Tom Furness and his team are investigating rapidly deliverable applications, initially, in the medical field.”

His role at the RATLAB is independent from his University responsibilities.
